When you read
A web request necessarily reveals technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to the hosting infrastructure. Security, error and delivery logs may be kept by the host. Their availability and retention depend on the hosting configuration and applicable obligations.
The HerCV theme serves its fonts and homepage images from this site. It does not itself include advertising pixels, third-party analytics or an external captcha service. Other site software and hosting facilities must be assessed separately; this statement is not a claim that every component is free of data processing.
When you write
The contact form collects the name, reply email and message you submit. It uses an arithmetic check, a nonce, a hidden anti-spam field, a signed time-limited challenge and a short-lived connection rate-limit identifier. The rate-limit identifier is derived from the connecting IP address using a site secret; it is not an anonymous identifier.
Form messages are sent through the site’s mail system to the configured site administrator. The theme does not create a separate archive of message bodies in WordPress. Copies can remain in mail systems, logs and backups. Information is used to handle the enquiry, verify a correction or address abuse and rights concerns; it is not permission to publish your private details.
Access, retention and requests
Hosting and email providers may process information to operate these services. Records should be kept only as needed for the enquiry, security, legal obligations or an unresolved dispute. Backup deletion may follow the provider’s normal cycle. No fixed retention period or specific provider location is promised here.
You may ask about access, correction or deletion using Contact. Identify the request without sending additional sensitive documents. Some requests may require proportionate verification; applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location and the circumstances.
